I just checked my parameters and my MAG is way off
Ca 450
Alk 8
Mag 1050
Should I dose MAG or just leave it alone?
Could that be the problem Of my sps's bleaching?
I checked twice with elos test kit.

No
Did you test your waterchange water? Would give you a good feel if your test kit is accurate.
I didnt yet! I will make the WG tomorrow.
I agree with icecool2, check your test kit to see if it is accurate. If so, raise Magnesium.

I always recommend half the dose they instruct.
Checked the red sea twice and it reads 1360
Elos test kit is 2 month old! Not expired.
Dit the test for the third time and same reading 1050.

Magnesium is the referee between ALK and cal
The bleaching is from something else

Any links to the threads you've started? How do you control Po4 and No3?

First thing, get your Mg up to around 1380.

Your PO4 and NO3 look fine.
He said his red sea kit reads 1360? To conflicting tests I'd be sure it's one or the other before doing anything.
Mag at 1730 would be worse then the possible 1050 imo.
I only asked about the Po4 and No3 because he said he can't figure out bleaching Sps.

I thought he meant a new batch of this red sea was 1360... as in new water.

Po4 .01
No3 5.0 ppm
What's your PO4 test kit? 0.01 shouldn't be a huge problem but it's not great to hover so closely to 0.00. If your using Gfo it could easily be teeter tottering between the 2.
0.03 would be much better imo

One of the biggest things I've noticed from all your threads is that your parameters seems to change a lot? Have you considered a Triton test? It'll give you an over all consensus of where your tanks at, also allow you to cross reference your test kits. Make sure you test your tank water the day you take the Triton sample so you can cross reference them with each other.
Also are you hand dosing? With a tank as beautiful as yours I'd suggest getting a dosing pump. You'll still have to monitor your levels but it'll help keep things a lot more stable.

I do use a doser from BRS
How do I send the water for the triton test?
