Ok so when I woke up this morning I noticed all these little hair like things all over my tank anyone have an idea what they are

Really hard to tell. Are they there morning noon and night? If just when lights are out can they be Copepods?

I am running a circulater and a hong on filter untill my sump is compleet and i have a hang on protean skimmer that will be going in my sump and this is a 55 galon tank they have gone down a little and i noticed my peppermint shrimp eatiiing a small amount last night and my starfish was knocking it off of the side of tank when he was mooving around

Sounds like the start of hair algae. Or at least that us how it started for me.

i was thinking that 2 but there white and isent hair algae gree?

Could be algae bloom. Should go away. Keep that skimmer going. What do have inside the hangon filter?

Mine started brownish white. Little diatoms on the glass almost

what are hydroids and are they bad for my tank

my hang on just runns 2 activated carbon filters and when it comes back into the tank it goes though a bio filter screen
