Was messing around with one of my kessil a160’s the other day and cranked the light intensity all the way up for about 5-10 seconds. Idk if I’m just being over dramatic but I’m a little worried this could have negatively effected my corals. Am I just being a worry wart? Lol thanks!!

You could/should be running that light at 100% anyways, they aren’t very strong. Don’t be worried. I run two 360’s at 100% in both my tanks very close to the surface, which are much stronger than the 160’s

Okay thank you....interesting, I run mine at maybe 30% typically, 2 over my 75

Just to add, since you have corals, and are running your lights at 30%, dont just crank them up to 100% right away. Ramp up slowly over few weeks, so that corals have time to acclimate to stronger light.

Depends on what kinds of corals you’re keeping. Softies will do fine at 30%. 5-10 seconds won’t have made any difference.

Yea for sure run them at 100% on a standard 75.
Whats your schedule with the 360's as far as ramping up to 100% and back down? Ive been looking for answers on how i should ramp my 160's over my 75g. Mine have also only ever ramped up to 45%. I recently added some torches and theyre losing color. I assume because of my lighting. Thanks!

orange is intensity and blue is color. My color never goes above 15%.
