There's a few of us in Charlotte!

Am located in Concord, fairly new to the hobby abt 3 years. Have 69 gall mix reef tank. Work in a restaurant so my hours are erratic. Looking forward to checking your setup and swapping some corals

[QUOTE=I am in Hickory, doesn't seem to be alot of red hobbiest in the area here

Just figured I’d throw it out there, we’re trying g to revive the RASOC forum on r2r. That’s the reefing aquarium society of Charlotte. If anyone is still looking for some fellow reefers in the area, check it out!

Awesome, I'm from Hickory so Charlotte is just under an hour away

Hahaha. We never had our family day. Maybe you should join RASOC, and bring the whole fam to the holiday party. ;Hilarious

I’ll stop being pushy in a few days. I’m just excited to have something to do

Lol, happy to find some people close by in the hobby

I’m sorry, you can’t join. you said just under an hour. You have be just under 55 minutes to Charlotte. :p

Welcome

@Kohuku's_reef here's some people on here from Charlotte. I haven't had any luck convincing them to join RASOC, but they are some good people! I suspect you'll like them!

huntersville/concord area here- use to be a member of RASOC many years ago not anymore

Our January meeting is coming up if you have any interest. I'm trying to get the info posted on the RASOC forum right now.

So, is RASOC still pretty active with club meetings (outside of the current quarantine situation)?

Looks like the club forum has been pretty inactive for awhile and I'm trying to get a sense of what type of local reefing community is present since I'll be moving down to the Asheville area in June.

I'm In morganton. The closest LFS is an hour away and the next one is an hour and 20 mins. So I do most stuff online. If you are moving to Asheville you should visit High Tide Aquariums. The store is impressively clean. I usually stop by there if I have to go to Asheville. The staff are very nice and everything in the store looks great. Fish at that place is hit or miss. They haven't had very many while I have been there but they usually have tons of coral and the coral all looks amazing. I'm always proud to add one of their corals to my tank.
