I'm in the early stages of adding some non-photosynthetic corals to my 40 breeder, which is mostly leathers. Yesterday, I was able to add my first NPS coral, a Cirrhipathes spiralis. I got it from Bill at Midwest Saltwater. I'm very excited to have it and pleased to see polyps open and good feeding response the first day I have it home. Here are a couple of shots. In the first shot, it appears that one of the polyps has eyes bigger than its stomach.

Very nice Gary! Looks very happy for the first day.

I have been seeing some really nice spirals out lately, but this one takes the cake. That is a really nice looking one, glad it is doing so well.

Feed it frozen mysis and cyclopeeze. In feeding mine that mixture everyday, it has grown from 3" to 8" in 2 months.

Wow, that's great news. I've been contemplating one...

That looks rather happy in your tank! I'll bring over the frozen cyclopeeze tomorrow!

Thanks to all. I'm a bit excited about this one. It's been eating well off of the contents of Rod's Food. Sara, I'll be curious to see how it responds to cyclopeeze. Bongo, that's impressive growth.

Excellent spiral. I have been checking them out on LA. I really want to put one of those in the new setup. Can you take a pic a little farther back? I'm curious about placement in your tank seeing as yours is so happy.

I have wanted one for a while but I'm not sure of the rerquirments??? Will angels eat them???
