A newbie question about feeding

All fish in our tanks expend much less energy than they do in the wild. The difference in the nutritional requirements of all the different species fish is CRAZY. Those requirements even change depending on the environment of a single species. THEN there's changes that occur with age. We will never be able to hit every single fish with the perfect diet, as these prepared foods are developed for the general population.

Hmm I wonder why the spend less energy? In a large tank with adequate flow it seems like they would have the same behavior as they do in the wild.

think, miles, or city blocks in some cases.

One thing that is vastly different, is they just have to sit at the table and wait for you to bring supper to them.... in the wild they have to forage/hunt.

Also remember more food=more poop. I feed my fish once a day and they always beg every time I'm near the tank lol

Mine do as well and I'm a sucker for it and end up overfeeding most times. I have to get better with that. This is gonna sound nuts but I have literally crawled over to my tank at times so they don't see me just to change out my filter sock. Is that nuts or what? I just feel bad seeing them beg. LOL. But in reality it's just pure greed. :)
