Thanks for sharing @Humblefish and @DrCooper !!! You guys rock! I have a friend who's a vet who offered to call in the prescription. I got a price from kroger pharmacy and it was $702 for 30 grams worth of pills!!! blew my freaking mind! Then i happened to notice the update above about diamond back drugs and they quoted $34.88 for 30 grams. And now you know what's wrong with the medical pharmaceuticals of today!!! talk about insane price gouging!!!!

I talked to my vet very briefly about CP last time my dog went in for a check up. I explained what I was doing (reef keeping) and that this was the treatment for the most common fish parasites, and diseases. She was like hmmm okay I've never heard of that medication, but would write you a script when your ready. I think if you just try to reason with them, and they understand that a reef tank, is not just a fish bowl with some gold fish, they are a little more open to the idea of treating our aquatic pets, the same as our furry land dwelling ones.

Prophylactic dosage is 40 mg/gal; or up to 60 mg/gal for active infections.

I strongly recommend buying a digital scale (like this one) to measure CP before dosing.

40mg dose will treat roughly 700g of water volume (28 grams) so 30 will treat a little more. Use a digital scale like Humble fish mentioned, the scoop is not accurate at all. Seachem has a digital spoon that I use to measure out praziquantel and CP
