What do you consider "heavy" feeding? Every day I feed my tank (Reefer 350, 73 gallon display) 2 cubes of mysis and 1 cube of brine (sometimes swapped for a cube of calanus) at lunch and a 1"x 1" chunk of Reef or Fish Frenzy for dinner. I consider myself to be a heavy feeder, but I'm not sure where I fall in the ranks lol.

So how much do you "heavy feeders" feed?

That sounds like extra heavy feeding ;) How many fish do you have? I have 5 small fish in a 40 and feed 1/2 cube frozen split between morning and evening with supplemental small feedings (pinch) of flake/pellets throughout the day maybe totaling another 1/2 tsp...

Well I must be a heavy ‘feeder’ as well then because I feed my shoals 3 frozen cubes at lunch and then a dose of mixed pellets in the evening every day, and also add some other treats from time to time.

My fish love me though and are always pleased to see me. Their like ‘puppy fish’ swimming to the side of the tank when they see me !! Lol

I have about 175g and fish, well lots!

Your poor fish can survive on those rations? ;)

I have 12 fish in that tank. I haven't done a water change in a couple of weeks so I figured I'd test my n03 and p04 for fun. N03 was 2 and p04 was .04. No fuge, no skimmer (well I just got a skimmer but I'm just letting it overflow for now) and no nuisance algae issues. My tank must evaporate nutrients lol

I forgot to add that I usually feed some nori once a day as well.

I do have a quite a few anemones and a pretty large cuc that I like to keep fed. I don't spot feed anything anymore.

For my 110 gallon with 23 fish, most smaller, I feed 1 small dose from an auto feeder, a equal sized pinch of pellets when I get home from work, and a mix of homemade food equal to 1/2 cube of mysis size wise.

Also 1/4 sheet of nori most every day.

Heavy feeders here! Morning started with reef nutrition mysis feast, brine shrimp, roe and copepods. Lunch time consisted of LRS reef frenzy with some more reef nutrition and dinner came with LRS reef frenzy. All throughout the day my wife fed TDO chroma boost pellets as the mandarin ate all day. 3 times a week a mixture of reef nutrition oyster feast and reef roids. A few times a week nori was added also. Fat, happy healthy fish and corals:D

I feed 1 cube 3 times a week and I have 6 fish and many soft and lps corals am I feeding enough?

2-3 cubes of mysis or other, or the equivalent, of that, but it sits in a cup and I squirt w/ a baster every hour or two in the course of the evening, and an autofeed of NLS once daily.

I have anthia that require this type of feeding.

I would suggest ditch the brine, unless it is freshly hatched w/ eggsack or enriched it's not very nutritious.

I feed 4oz a week on pellets. A ton!
