I have four SPS Corals in my tank, 2 Acros one Birds Nest of some sort and a Bird of Paradise coral. The Bird of Paradise is my problem. They have been in the tank for about two months now and growing good. The BOP grows out of the frag plug at a slant and it was at the top of my tank along with the Birds Nest. I woke up this morning and the BOP was bald and white on top, no polyps, on the underside of the frag and in the crevices of the branch growth, there is polyp extension. I am wondering if the frag is dieing or that it might be getting to much light, I moved the frag down in the tank to see if it will make a come back. Do you think I need to move the Birds Nest down in the tank also, it looks fine but so did the BOP last nite. I have 250w 20k bulbs in the tank if that helps.

idk if it was the light causing a "Burn" or what, but maybe it RTNed a little overnight. is it completely skeleton on the top? or does it look just like the coral lightened up?

Dosn't look like any polyps on the top half of the frag, but the underside has polyps but not as long as they usely are. The top half appears white, usely when the polyps aren't out the frag is a greenish color. Guess I will see what it looks like in the morning. The birds Nest appears fine. My main concern is that this is my first time trying to keep SPS corals and I have a frag of Tyrees Purple Monster coral ordered for a febuary shipment. Don't want to spend the $$$ on the PMonster if I can't keep the cheaper frags growing. But like I said the Birds Nest is doing fine.
