I am coming up to my replenishing of the miracle mud in my refug... But I'm deciding to switch to Fiji mud, which I've heard is much better... Now my question is just remove the replenishing part and replace with the Fiji or put a bed of sand with the Fiji mud on top...The only reason I'm asking is because there's no reference on how deep the Fiji mud should be in the refug...
Thanks to anyone who could answer my question...
Joe

I use the miracle mud bricks I have 4 I replace 2 a yr don't think you would want to mix sand with any even Fiji.

Min 4 inches. However, I do not believe it is worth it. ..
Are you saying Fiji mud isn't worth it... If so, and your using a refug. what base subtrate are you using for the bottom of your refug... Only reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking of switching from miracle mud to something else....thanks

I use miracle mud and no nothing my cheato sits above it no sand I don't know about Fiji mud I've had no issues with this so I don't know why you want to change I see no benefits.

I'm just saying if what you have is working don't change it most things they say about other stuff is not true.

You know your right, I went into my LPS, and seen the Figi, and bought it because it was time to replenish... But when I came home I started to read the reviews and it was higher then MMud... People loved it more then MMud with it being more natural then MMud which has additives...confused but I know what your saying if it's not broken DONT fix it..lol

Yup

No sand, leave a cup of existing mmud and add the fiji mud . mud recommendation is around 2 inches without any sand
