A quick pic of my "80 breeder"

Just snapped a quick pic with a crappy camera of my 2 month old 80 breeder started with dead base rock.

All of the corals and clams Ive had for years, but when I started this tank, I fragged the colonies into mini colonies and small frags to start off with. All fishes are also years old and have been through many of my tank changes. I had to break down my 75g because I had an algae outbreak that I couldn't beat. So I fragged everything and started with new rocks, new tank and new equipment. I placed everything in the tank within 2 weeks of setting up. Yes I know I shouldn't do that and alot of my stuff people say that I would need a "mature" tank. Only negatives that happened with the premature transfer was that all of my sps browned out. Other than that, no livestock loss. Fast forward to today, and everything is coloring up awesome, all fish are fat and healthy and clams are already showing new growth scales. Anems are fat and bubbly, and tenticles are very sticky when food is introduced. Here is the old pic of the 75g....

And here are the pics of the new tank. Decided to go bare bottom so I could kick the flow up a little more. I also plan on having encrusting corals and zoos eventually covering the bottom.

I wish I would have went bb now I made the mistake of using fine agro from marco rock and it just will not stay on the bottom it always in the wc and covers everything. Ill epoxy and coat the bottom next round.

So it's the same dimensions as a 40 breeder, but double as long?

Thanks everyone. My friend actually ordered the tank...and then when I seen it up for sale, I had to have it. Been wanting a 6ft tank for awhile. Ill try to get better pics soon, hopefully the corals will be a tad more colored up by then.

Thanks everyone. Yea Im pretty happy with how things are going, especially with the whole debate about all this LED technology and RGB lighting. I started out with completely browned out sps....and slowly but surely they are pulling through with new growth tips and they are coloring up fine. Ive got sps that started brown, but not are showing all kinds of new colors. green, purple, red, blue etc. That goes to show that even with just blue and white led, you can still get decent colors AND good growth.

I actually have 2 more ai units I am going to install, but as you can see the rails I have are bowing, so I don't wanna risk it anymore. Waiting on my new rails. With a total of 8 units, I am sure its over kill, but atleast I know I will getting good light coverage. I am yet to install the 70 degree optics, so I am happy that coverage will be good. Intensity is now 30 white, 45 blue, and 50 royal blue.

The sump work is really simple. Just a bubble magus doser (alk, calcium and mag), 2 media reactors for carbon and gfo, and a skimmer. Ive messed with pellets, and I think I will stay clear from them. Ive also had complicated sump and refugium setups that I think was unneccesary for my setup. I just wanted clean and simple.

I will work on better pics. Alls I have is a cheap digital camera and no camera skills, lol.

secret - Yea been pretty busy with work and training. Working 10 hours a day and training 4 hours everyday, leaves for little time. I was surprised I was able to get where Im at with the tank, lol.
