If I have a Zoa and algae (the bad kind and the good) next to each other will the Zoa eventually smother the algae?
I do remove it from time to time with a brush or HP or both.
GDS and mushrooms too?
I'm trying to let my Pulsing xenia be a major part of my filtration.

No, the zoas won’t smother the algae per se. I would recommend at least brushing it away, as some algaes can annoy corals.

I do brush it away but it keeps coming back. I don't mind brushing it if eventually the zoas take the rock over. There is some of the algae I think looks cool. Some of it kind of looks like lettuce.

Sea lettuce (ulva) is a beneficial macro algae that many use in displays and sumps! You may want to look into adding more CUC, such as Astrea/Turbo snails to just help keep other algae’s down.

When I treat my tank with

ReefHD Reef Flux Anti-Fungal Treatment

I think I'll pull some out and put it aside till the treatment is over.
