Tank - Start.jpeg

To call this thread a "reef rejuvenation", is misleading. The truth is that this tank was a build that was never finished. For reasons I won't get in to, it was necessary to get this tank ready to support inhabitants as soon as possible, as I needed to combine two tanks into one.

It has been 228 days since combining two tanks into this one. And while it has been healthy enough to sustain everything, it is time to get rid of this "rigged" look, and to move to the next level where the tank not only survives, but thrives.

I needed to keep a diary of my renovation and decided to keep it here as a thread so that anyone interested can follow along.

To Do List (Not in any particular order and subject to change):

  • Add a third Hydra 32 to the two existing Hydras.
  • Get Hydras dialed in.
  • Add a dark blue or black background.
  • Add an equipment cabinet using the free space within the stand.
  • Install wire management and tidy up wires.
  • Install new 4 head dosing pump.
  • Re-plumb drain and return lines.
  • Tidy up ATO lines.
  • Relocate ATO float.
  • Reconfigure sump layout.
  • Add 2 Nems and Tomato clownfish from 25 gallon.

I think it makes sense to me that I should start at the floor and work my way up.
