Tank has been up almost 2 weeks. I’ve found several live rock hitchhikers so far. Tonight I noticed a single Aiptasia.

Should I try the lemon juice trick now? CUC is arriving tomorrow so perhaps the hermits will get it. Order f-Aiptasia and use that? The only thing I have on hand is lemon juice so any other methods will have to wait til next week. Is that ok or should I act right away?

-Let me say, you think you might be seeing one... times that by twenty. For Aiptasia, when in doubt, times it by twenty.

-I’ve got hit with Aiptasia in the past. First I’ve shocked them, that worked at the start, but you had to be 100% sure that you’ve completely killed that one you shocked. If not, well she just multiplied.
You could only shock for a Certain time until you would cause harm to your tank. I eventually gave up on that. Would love to hear other stories with the shock method!

Here’s what worked for me! Very cheap too!
Go to BulkReefSupply.com, and type in “joes juice”, it’s only $8.99.
Trust me, this product works! You feed the Aiptasia, they will eat it and they will die! I’m sure others will start posting about Joe’s Juice!

I had one when I first started and I let it grow. I than realized what it was was. I pulled the rock scraped the area it was at than super glued the spot. Not a single one since than.

I used Aiptasia-x. Worked great for a few that I saw pop up. Haven't seen them since. Although I got some on a zoa frag and it killed it.

Ive on occasion pulled the rock and torched them. They hate fire
I'm assuming this is a joke, but please don't ever heat up your rock. You'll end up like that guy who got poisoned from boiling his live rock with palythoas on it.

I would never try and scrape them off, if you leave any part at all, they will only come back. Feeding them Can be done in minutes.

Torching them, then you have to wait for the rock to cool down, hahahaha
Can’t believe someone has done that!
Video! Tell me you filmed it!

I had 3 small ones and a peppermint shrimp took care of them

That's why I super glued over it

Honestly if you all ready ordered F-aiptasia I would just wait till it comes in, messing with it might make it spread. I was having a few pop up every couple weeks and I kept treating with aiptasia x and they would just come back. I ordered some F-aiptasia and frank got it shipped out right away and I received it two days later. So far so good so good with the F-aiptaisa.
