I have a 210g tank that im currently having a cyano problem in. Its a baby tank ( age wise), less than 3- months old. Ive old had 10 baby chromis in their, so the bioload isnt overloaded. I've been feeding the fish flake foods only. I tested my phosphate 2 weeks ago and it was 0.15 ppm and this week it was 0.07, both tested were taken with a hanna checker. I run a BRS dual GFO reactor, a phosban 150 with gfo and i run bio pellets as well. I have a reef octopus SRO 5000 skimmer rated at double my tank size as well. All my water is RODI (All the filters and DI resin were changed about a month ago).

Im honestly not 100% positive its cyano since ive never really had it before. It appears to me like diatom algae but its more like red fibers than slime or algae. Heres a picture i took. its a little distorted from the angle of the glass.

Any tips will help, thanks!

Also the feeding is done with auto feeder once a day automaticly and then on days where they look extra hungry ( following my hand from outside the glass) i will manually hit the feed button.

ive read good things about h202 dosing for these algae problems dose 1ml per 10g of total water volume

cyano isnt algae it is bacteria (red tide)

I used a chemical that turned my tank yellow for a day or so and havent had a problem since. I dont remember the name of it
my tank is a 180g lps dominant tank it didnt effect the corals at all

hydrogen peroxide dosing kills cyano dino ha and also oxygenates the water but if you have sps/lps it has been shown to discolor them untill dosing is stopped

boyd chemiclean works wonders. but it is only a patch like everything else till you get the tank balanced but this will help you get a jump on it.
How old are your bulbs? what kind of water do you use? and what kind of salt?
And last but not least what are you tank conditions?

No bulbs, radions, again RODI, salt is red sea pro salt and tank conditions are good. Its a young tank, less than 3 months old, so i think its just working its self out but seems to be taking longer than usual. either that or im being impatient
