This is not meant to be a bashing or "Pulling someone down", but for me its a clear critique of the products. Im a tech geek, and from hearing Profilux is the best on the marked due to the quality programming and build quality compared to other brands.

I took the jump, and put out about 5000 USD in GHL products for my new display project, to be so extremely disappointed with this product.

My complaint is not regarding to me selfish needs of things that I personally would like to see as that is not the fault of GHL, but my investigation.

My main issue is with the stability of the software and functions of the products - I experiencing the device itself locking up and refuse to respond before hard rebooting it, the myGHL is a joke. It works 10% of the times and is slower than a 56k modem downloading a movie. Its such a hit and miss if I can speedly being able to do basic functions its frustrating.

For example on a bad day I need to put the pumps in feed mode ideally I should go to myghl and click feed mode, but most of the time it does not work, so I can do that. Then I have to use remote desktop to connect to the P4 (as its located in another room), and connect via COM cable (pray to the holy spagetti monster the COM cable is working at that time, and you dont have to switch the com port manually or reboot the computer) to manually stop the pumps.

The WIFI connectivity is horrible. Its extremely sensitive to medium connection quality, having to put an AP just next to it to give it full signal. My phone, laptop and other devices next to it get full signal, but the P4 get a horrible signal. The same issues with the Mitras. Im sure its been used a bad WIFI chip that is not capable at all of handling this. If you are lucky you get get the IP up and running on the devices, from time to time you have to reboot the WIFI when it get stalled. Its so frustrating to this point its making me regret doing this.

Lets not forget about the horrible, I mean absolutely horrible performance of the GCC application. It crashes so much I get flashback from Windows ME and doing things take ages with loading and waiting times (and oops it crashed again so you have to start over).

Other things are basic functions that SHOULD be implemented at release, but its not. The Profilux 4 IS a beta product, but sold as a retail product. It has been on the marked for 6 months now, and still things are not working at a level where I am comfortable at least. They even removed functions (graphs) so as of now its not possible to get any history out of the box, as well as many other functions not implemented yet that the P3 had.

I am sure none of this was intended by GHL, but I think this is seriously stepping on the rock stable reputation GHL had. I know it wont be fixed by tomorrow, but at one point we are stepping into the boundaries of false advertising and maybe a class act lawsuit if problems are not getting addressed and compensated for the customers who shelf out a lot of money for a product (s) is nothing than a glorified box based on false hopes, rumours and the P3.

I feel GHL is running around like headless chickens. I feel none of the real issues are really acknowledged and handled publicly and their own support forum is not active with most of the questions not even getting addressed by any staff, at least not with a real reply.

I have moved this thread to our vendor feedback forum, and I have removed outside comments from the thread. The only parties allowed to comment in this thread are @aumoenoav and GHL representatives. It is always the staff's hope in these types of feedback threads that all such issues are resolved to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

I just want to clarify something here. I mainly would like this thread to be deleted as I see I have put my words wrongly and unjust.

I am NOT saying GHL is bad or does not have stable hardware. I am NOT trying to bash GHL or step on anyone. I want to make it crystal clear I choose GHL for a reason and even if I might not be wanted to be with GHL after that post I feel the essence of it was fair, but maybe not how I put my words. I apologise if anyone felt offended by my opinions but it come from a place where I want GHL to improve to be the absolutely best.

Yes the P4 has its issues, but it should not be forgotten the good sides of it. The good hw and backend (when its working, and im sure those bugs will be sorted out) - still with its flaws I still think its the best on the marked, and I have been advocating for it. With the issues ruled out im sure it will be better.

I kinda feel bad that some might feel like im a troll that trying to bring someone down, thats why I make this statement.

Per R2R policy, feedback threads are not deleted, but instead, we encourage users to update their threads if corrections, updates, or resolutions are in order. Thanks for giving the clarification in your post.
