A sump for a sump in evo 13

I have a evo on top of a biocube stand. The bioxube stand is big enough for a 10g cube sump. Has anyone made a sump for the evo 13.5?

Also reason I want to do this is because I need to set up ato, auto doser, and would like a healthier fuge. I can build the sump but how would I go about doing this

You would have to get a small overflow on to the back chambers of your evo or drill it

Would it be possible to cover the overflow, have a pump going into a sump then just have one shoot back in the tank

I’d be worried about the pump taking too much out of the back chamber. Basically moving water faster than the weirs of your tank allow water to flow in from the display portion

The main reason j want to so this is for an ato too. I figured that would be a problem

You could still do a sump. Just do a HOB overflow if you don’t want to drill. Simple enough.

although you could potentially just have the ato run to the back chamber of your evo. Just a matter of figuring out if you want to buy one or diy one.

Whats hob? Would it be possible for you to draw a diagram since its hard to follow

why not just add chaeto and a grow light to chamber 2? Many people have done it and seem happy including myself.

I'm also looking for a bigger fuge and more water volume so a sump felt logical

You can always use the second chamber or run a hob refugium like this

I would but it keeps draining my 3rd Chambersburg dry
