I am about to add some frags into my tank for the first time. I have up to this point had limited exposure putting my full hands and arms into the tank for extended periods. Should I wash and sanitize myself in any special manner before I do? Will washing though with soap and water be sufficient to not contaminate the tank?

Most people, including myself, wash up first with some plain old Dawn dish soap. Then make sure to rinse really really well! Dont forget to wash after your done as well. Ive heard some nasty stories about infections when people cut themselves working on a tank. If im just reaching my hand in quickly for something i have extended cuff disposable nitrile gloves from CVS...
