Hey all, last night I noticed a worm in my tank, it only comes out when lights are completely off at night, and seems to be living underneath my elegance coral. I can’t get a pic because it’s too dark and I don’t want my phone flash to go off and blind my fish lol. It’s extremely skinny and it looks to be about 2-3inches long. It’s all red except a small black part along its body. I’ve tried to go in with tweezers and grab it but as soon as it feels any sort of movement it quickly goes back under the elegance coral. I’ve thought of moving the coral but don’t want to stress it out so badly before trying to figure out what this is. I’ve done some research and it could be a bristle worm or a fire worm based off what I can tell. Are either of these going to kill my corals if I can’t get it out sooner rather than later?

Also want to note: elegance coral has been in tank for I’d say a month now, and was my last addition. It seems perfectly happy and no other corals/fish are acting any different

What's it doing when it comes out?

it seems to be like partly under the coral and partly out just sweeping back and forth, last night it was like under a snail that was a little close to my coral, so i moved the snail and it seems fine.
