Just picked up my first anemone today. Seems to be doing well so far. Not fully inflated yet, but its showing less stress. Tips on anemone care appreciated. I've been researching them for a long time, and fervently so for the past week, but the more known the better. At first all the fish were checking it out, the female clownfish keeps coming to look at it and stare, but still hasn't gone up to it, or began yo host, but its only day one

Its been a while since the last update... Needless to say the nem did not workout. Also lost a few pieces during a power outage but only 2 or 3. Also started a 10gal frag tank and got more corals and seeing a lot of growth! More pictures to come most of these are a month or more old

looking really nice! that was a beautiful nem, what do you think happened? I love your ricordias and yumas? I have a hard time telling them apart.

I have 1 Yuma the orange spotted one and several different ricordeas, I've noticed the main difference is the bubble size, ricordea bubbles tend to all be similar in size while the Yuma's tend to have larger bubbles near the mouth and around the rim.

As for the nem I'm not sure, most likely the water wasn't stable enough, he walked all over the place, spent a few days under the rocks then one day appear at the top right under my large stylophora and slightly above some gsp definitely touching the gap and never harmed any corals even when they touched for days on end. Did not accept food regularly, and one day just gave up and the foot gave out wouldn't do anything except be miserable. Will be a long time before I try bta again, but I'm dying to get a colorful rock flower nem

Tank exploded yesterday, first tank crash, all the fish are OK, I was lucky not to lose much, a lot of the corals were damaged but I believe will recover, and I'll have extra frags well. Everything is in these 2 tanks for now, seem to be doing well quickly. Lots of work to be done now...

Yea forgot to explain that lol, so basically the tank was a gift from family, didn't give me their extra stand, instead gave me cinder blocks and plywood, I came home from work and there was a reef tank setup in my living room. Over time the plywood warped, and it was no longer level, the tank was tilted a little and a lot of the weight leaned toward one corner of the tank, not even very noticeably. And while at work I get a call saying all the water spilled out. The seam broke on the side and I guest it emptied within a few minutes, my roommates were home and made an assembly line transferring the fish and corals from the display into the frag tank. My other friend around the corner came over and grabbed all the live rock with encrusted corals and put them in a tank in his shop. I get home save the wrasse in the sand and a few other frags and inverts, clean the house, another friend comes over to lend me their extra 40 gallon, and I begin to get that cleaned setup and filled, picked up my live rock and coral and threw them in there. I'm still in shock about the situation
