Does anybody know what this worm(like) creature could be? It seems to be rarely moving, but when scared it hides in its hole. It has been sitting and looking out from the same hole for a couple of days now. I tried to find it on google but have not found anything similar yet.

And a little worse picture due to it being a frame taken from a video:

The closest pic I could find was a nudi that feeds on anemones. Similar looking, but not spot on.

Did you have a video of this creature?

Looks like either a Yellow-plumed or Side-gilled sea slug OR dorid nudibranch.

Could it be the head of a peanut worm? That seems to be the most fitting so far, most likely not a nudibranch as others have stated. Take a look for yourself:

Or a baby Kraken...my personal favorite

I have a video, but the "worm" was not moving at all. It mostly just look out from its hole and just sits there very still. Thats why I didn't post the video.

I believe I have seen peanut worms in my aquarim, but they seem to be much more active. They take a peek outside the hole, searches around and then retracts back in. This worm just sits there very still. I know it can move because I once scared it, by blowing on it with a turkey baster, and it retracted back into the hole to hide.

How sure are you that it's a worm? Looks more like a baby anemone to me that has yet to multiply it's tentacles.

edit: google "development nematostella", not that i think that that particulr one is what it is, but that has good pictures of what a baby anemone looks like

I see. I have personally never found any peanut worms in my tanks so if you have them to compare against it probably isn't one... It very well could be a developing anemone as @elysics suggested, I'm not sure.

Not sure at all :)

You could be right, it does look a little like some of the baby anemone pictures. I guess I will wait and see if it developes into an anemone :)

I am not 100% sure that they were peanut worms as i only have seen their mouths but not the hole body. but the mouth looked like it could have belonged to a peanut worm.

I agree that it maybe could be a developing anemone as @elysics mentioned. The pictures I found on google looks pretty similar and it would make sense that this is not a worm as it is sitting in the same hole all the time.
