Hi all,

just wondering if the violet channel works by default without the wifi dongle/spectral x controller, or is one of those needed for the a360x to emit violet?

thanks

Chris

Hi Chris -

Without the WiFi Dongle or Spectral X controller, you have access to the standard Tuna Blue spectrum which allows you to choose the color between 10k (daylight) and 20k (deep blue). If you want individual control over the Violet (and Red + Green channels), you'll need to use a controller or WiFi dongle.

Let us know how else we can help!

Awesome thanks, does violet channel form part of that Tune blue spectrum?

Yes, it is. The Violet channel controls wavelengths between 405 and 425 nm. These are naturally a part of the Tuna Blue spectrum that we've developed, but if you want to add in some more for some coral "pop", you can. So the wavelengths are there while you are running the Tuna Blue even without a controller, but if you want to add on more of those wavelengths, that's where the controller comes in.

Let me know if you need some more clarification on that.

Perfect, thanks for that. I’ve always loved the tune blue spectrum as it is but the extra control is nice too.
