Im assuming this is what is meant by ‘white & stringy’ and that this is not ok. Will prazipro fix this? This is from a trio of zebra gobies that are on the last qt ttm transfer.

So no prazipro? Just feed metro and focus?

Yes, intestinal worm or parasite. Soaking metro or GC with their food will help. Also add Focus to bind the med to the food for 30 minutes. Do it for at least 7-10 days.

+1

If you get general cure, it contains both metronidazole and praziquantel. This will treat for intestinal parasites and worms. Metroplex contains metronidazole which only covers parasites. Prazipro contains Praziquantel which only covers worms.

Thanks ! I made note of the difference between Prazi & Metro.
Also the focus is to bind the meds to the food . Right ?
Thanks Jahalu for my questions !

That is correct. Add Focus after you add GC or Metro to the food. Then let sit for 30 min. Use 1 scoop each for each tablespoon of food. Good luck! Just adding Prazi to the water column will not solve this issue. Very rarely do fish swallow water.

Thanks for the help everyone! I will start with feeding metro and focus since I currently have those in the fish medicine cabinet. And just to double check- I thought API general cure was just something you add to water. It’s ok to add to food with focus? I don’t want to overdose them.

Correct you are good to use General cure. Use I measure (from a metroplex/kanaplex/focus bottle per 1 tablespoon of prepared food.

General cure covers both intestinal worms and parasites.

Yes but only one or the other. So start with Metro and focus.

Just wanted to update this thread. So, I went ahead and fed the bar gobies general cure and focus on LRS reef frenzy for over 2 weeks. Two of them seem fine, but one of them just keeps going with the stringy poo and breathes a little heavier than the others too. Is there anything else I can do? My method was to add gc, then focus and let that sit for a half hour. I made a big batch I froze and used during each week. They all eat fine. Right now, I’m not feeding any medication and I have them in prazi, just to see if I can help with the breathing. Any thoughts?

Agree and I would do for 10-14 days :)
