About how much extra do you think t5 costs vs led?

One more thing to factor in is a LED fixture yearly upgrade or switch to a newer/better fixture every year or so which has been the case since LEDs started. Factor this in and then it's cheaper to run T5s

could always put up a couple t5ho with your leds for a combo unit. then youll get better growth and keep the color from the led plus keep your monthly bills down and not have to replace as many bulbs. you could put 2 t5ho up with your leds and do just fine.

I was thinking that but my led fixture is pretty large, I think I would only have enough room for 2 bulbs. Not sure if 2 bulbs would be very effective on a 120 gallon. :/

your leds would be your main source of light, your t5s would be added in support and would do more than you think. there are always ways to add them. you can do 1 single fixture on each side of the led, or you can move the leds back just enough to fit 2 in front. but if you want to switch to t5, go for it. personally I like led over t5 but its all personal preference.

Lol, I'm assuming that is sarcasm. My electricity bill hits just under $400 in the summer months and Im only in a 2 bedroom house.
