Hey guys! I have a jbj 28gal and I recently bought a new reactor for running coral-vues bio-sphere media. I have two spare stock accela sp1-1000 pumps with a gph of 266, from a buddy who cracked his jbj 28gal. I figured it would have been enough flow to lightly tumble the pellets but no luck Here's my ? What submersible pumps out there with a gph of 300 or higher will fit the side chamber? I have the one in there now on top of the return pump that feeds the tank and I know that's not causing any problems. Please help as this is driving me nutts. Thanks in advance.

I'm not too familiar with the JBJ tanks, but what are the dimensions of the chamber you plan to put the pump in?

The side chambers where I want it are 3-1/2" long by 2-1/2 front to back The depth it would be in on top of the return pump would be in about 4-5 inches of water give or take evaporation.

The only problem I foresee with a MJ1200 is that is will be a minimal upgrade. The MJ1200 is only rated at 295 gph so I doubt it will make much of a difference with the tumbling of your pellets.
