If it's deep you could also start with a lower grit like 1500..then step down to 2000 then 2500..or step down in between that even.
1500/1800/2000/2200/2500. Every 500 should be a enough if you need it though

Yes that's what I did on deep one use 1500 then 2000 then last 2500 and it does a really good job too.
