Hello, I haven't noticed my fish acting weird however I have read about stray voltage so I thought I would test for it. The test read .32. I did some research and some said a grounding probe is good to have. I'd like to get some opinions on this. Also if a grounding probe is the way to go is there a specific model/brand anyone can suggest?

Grounding probe is more or less just a wire in the tank. Just keep it clean and any will be fine.

Sent from inside the shark tank!

I’m not a big believer in grounding probes. I want to feel that tingle in my hands to know I’ve got a problem piece of equipment. I’d only consider a grounding probe if it was tied into a GFI…..which means my tank would never be running because the probe would “kick” the GFI.

Grounding probes only protect you. The probe will cause for current flow in your tank. No probe, no current flow. Happy fish.

So my opinion is feel the tingle, know you’ve got a problem piece of equipment….fit it!
