I'm so frustrated to the point I'm ready to chuck my RODI of the roof!!
So this is where it all started. My rodi water started to taste n smell of tap water. I changed my carbon and sediment filter as well as DI. It still smelled like tap water as well as tasted like it. I figured maybe it was time to change the RO membrane.
While waiting for the membrane to be delivered I figured now would be a good time disinfect the unit. I took it apart and soaked it in bleach water for about 30 min.
Fast forward and my membrane arrives today. Good thing cuz the tank is blowing bubbles.
Rodi unit is operational and ready for water. Cue the water and... leaks everywhere!!!!!!
First thought was hmmm maybe soaking the quick connects in a bleach water solution was a bad idea and they have become dried out which is why they are leaking.
$30 dollars later in quick connects and they're all still leaking... what the heck!!!
My RODI has bested me and I'm at my wits end.
All new filters
All new quick connects ( it's the quick connects leaking not the canisters )
Same flush kit but I can blow through the flow restrictor so it's not clogged.
Brand is AquaFX barracuda RODI
Booster is AquaFX but leaks even when not installed.
Finally how can I even run a 150 gal but im apparently clueless when it comes to my RODI that's been running for 2 years. OMG lol.
