You mean like this. :hammer:

Personally I don't now how "here's my shipping addy" could have been more clear.

that is not what i said, read it again;)
he didnt' point out that it was a different address than the one automatically given when mailing through paypal.

he didn't say, "here's my shipping addy, please note that it is different from my paypal one" which is required imo

i have had people send me their address when using paypal and it is the same as the one listed, so unless they specifically say that this address is different from the one under paypal, i wouldn't pay attention.

also, when using paypal, you are only protected as a seller when sending to the verified address iirc

when using paypal you have to ship to the address that is given to you to cover yourself

what was being bought anyways?

at least he shipped it, i lost over 500.00 on stuff that a guy didnt ship to me and did the resolution and i got .87 back from it (that was all he had in his account)

I'm with ya nutz on making it clear, Happen to me once with marv on the wrong addy thing, Now days I ask and give my addy at least 3-5 times 465 HEYYY 465 465 you got that

I hope you guys can come up with a resolution. I personally would never send the wrong address with the payment.

from personal experience, i would only ship to the address listed on the paypal site. A couple of times I've been scammed by sending to a seperate address and having the funds stripped from me because the paypal "buyer" account was used fradulently. Paypal wont take responsibility for this and they recommend you only ship to the address listed through paypal. IMO even though he told him were to ship it, he could have taken 3mins to add the address through paypal instead of being irresponsible and lazy.

If I were Absinthe, i would not refund the money because he lost valuable rare polyps at his expense so its only fair the buyer sucks up some of the loss as well.

I print shipping labels from PayPal.

Sent a PM to the reciever.

Chances are it will be posted here in a few minutes anyway, so stay tuned for the public viewing of a private transaction.

Seems like any chance of a "civil" resolution went out the window when I was publicly trashed for omission of an address. I just know if I was requesting a refund from someone the last thing I would do is bombard them with this type of public negativity.

Between me, the reciever and PayPal.

Nothing more here from me.

hey hey.. just to clear it up.. I didn't screw up the address.. UPS delivered the package to the wrong address... :)

sorry, just had to clarify that.. :D

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one... ;)

I personally don't know either of these people and never dealt with either either so I really have no bias either way. And imo if someone say's "Here's my shipping addy" and the other person responds "NO problem" I can't see how that could be the receivers fault IMO.

Anyway, I've said my peice so I'm out on this. Hopefully things will get resolved. :)

DITTO... I'm in the same situation.. :)

twon, I don't think I needed to point out that the addresse is different...simply because, it is different. do you know what I'm saying? also, i shouldn't have to constantly remind him or give him comparisons on two different addresses. the request was made which he agreed to. i'm not his mom. also even if you think paypal as more than a tool to make payments, he disregarded to give me any information on the shipment UNTILL this bad review was made. he gave me the tracking # today (thursday)...great, how was i suppose to track it several days ago when it was actually shipped out? keep in mind that i sent him several PMs between monday ~ wends asking for the tracking # and i don't think the idea of "having lives outside of this hobby" is enough to disregard the people that you took money from. if you cannot afford the time to stay in touch with people that put their trust in you, then simply don't sell and waste our time in the first place. i've seen him on the forum several times between monday ~ today and i don't see any justification as to why he disregarded my PMs, my thread with his name, and my posts under his sales thread. like i've repeated so many times above, this could have been avoid and i would have been alot less upset if absinthe stayed in touch with me. double checking where the shipment is heading out to is the least you could do as a seller. and when i say assume... i mean putting faith in all the steps that many hobbyists take before shipments are made.

djscribz, despite your personal experience on the issue, the seller never questioned the issue of the addresse, leading me to believe that he knew where i wanted it to go. plus i made specifically requested to be sent to another addresse. i don't think i'm being 'lazy' about it when i specifically instructed where the item is going. it's as simple as that.

msman; this is the first bad experience i've had on cz. my first bad experience between any reef hobbyists actually. it sucks, but i guess on the other hand, its good because it's a sign that cz is growing as a community...but honestly, from my point of view and if i was the seller, i wouldn't argue so much about technicality because when it comes down to the final point, my request was disregarded resulting in this bad transaction. the return of cash is perfectly justified because we have both wasted time when all it took was absinthe to pay attention to what i've said. i guess i learned my lesson. maybe i'll just have my shipping addresse as my signature under every post, so i can avoid unnecessary problems like these...

minibowmatt; of course this thing didn't happen on purpose and if it did, there simply wouldn't be a point to this thread. even though it wasn't on purpose, a mistake was made on his part and i'm not bashing him with stubbornness or anything at all...i have my reasons which were posted and i'm simply asking him to step up to his mistakes and make right. i hold no grudge against him and i'm sure we will have my trust next time around if he does the right thing here... i made mistakes too with shipping because we are all just hobbyists and it takes experience when it comes to shipping out livestock, but as far as i can tell and hope, those mistakes were corrected when mentioned to me and i hope absinthe does the same.

Tough one. I usually rely on Paypal because that's the address my checking account is tied to I even go so far as to retype my address in the comments section of the Paypal payment that goes out! Why would you have your Paypal account tied to an address in NY, and want them mailed to an address in Rhode Island. When I moved to my new house the first thing I did was do a change of address for all my accounts.

...I usually delete my PMs right after I read them. And from the looks of that PM you posted...it seems he meant to say he could NOT guarantee "how could anyone"?

Just a tough situation all around!

I specifically explained in the beginning of this thread that I will only go into detail if you disagreed with me. Is it that hard to understand that you are responsible for this public negative feedback? I mean...come on, I even wrote in the longue asking you to respond back to me by today at least before 1PM. Did you really miss all those pms and threads?

Besides, any revealing of private messages that took place between you and I were solely used for the purpose of proving the fault on your part. If you'd like to reveal any PMs that proves otherwise, go ahead. Or you can just be a stubborn individual and ruin the good feedback streak I've been experiencing here on this forum. I wrote many good feedbacks for others, except you. Doesn't that kinda tell you that you did something wrong? Specifically, you didn't take the time to listen to my request...? Using that excuse of using paypal to ship is just lame... lack of communication, hypocrisy of agreeing to the correct addresse, and then disregarding it to get the tracking # the day AFTER it was suppose to arrive... I can't even believe I have to argue with you over this.

Kigs...you never explained the 2 address thing? Is the other a parent or ex-girlfreind or something?

I have an idea!

We know what happened now and hopefully lessons were learned. I think many of us in ways understand from both points of view.

Kigs any way you would cancel the paypal actions againts AB?

Absinthe would you reship new frag or frags?

Could you both split the shipping?

Anyway we could call a truce on the he said/he did in this thread?

Obviously you guys have the right to do whatever, but I think in the spirit of club-zoa you two are the example of how things should be handled, whether good or bad.

Which one will it be? ;)

As a point of notice, the PayPal claim has been escalated to a full on investigation. Buyer had no intention of an amiable resolution. Of coures, that was evident from the first post in this thread.

My only apology...not sending the tracking information the first time.

Next time I will tell my boss that I cannot work the overnight shift because I need to monitor my club-zoa account for possible frag shipment correspondence.

Rev, I have no problem with resolving this issue peacefully. Someone else have already offered to replace those frags for me if Absinthe doesn't step up. I was just waiting to see what Absinthe had to say about the issue, to be fair towards everybody that's been observing the thread. Also for the sake of my paypal account's history, I rather have Absinthe refund my money instead of me canceling my claim. I don't see why I need to make it look like I made a mistake towards the paypal crew, when it was clearly it was his fault.

Absinthe, not sending the tracking information on time is not only the issue. You giving it to me AFTER it arrived at the WRONG destination kinda seems stupid...no? Also... if you cannot take the time to complete the transactions you made online, then simply wait till you have the time to do so. From your sarcasm about club-zoa transactions, I'm guessing you don't take any of your reef - related transactions seriously. Did I pay you in shells or something? Last time I checked, I paid cash so I deserve your time as a buyer. Also you claiming that I had no intention of amiable resolution is ironic because I literally went all over the board just to get in touch with you.

I'm tired of this and I am done with you.

Let PayPal figure it out. It has to runs its course anyway now that you took it to a full investigation.

You had the chance for a peaceful resolution (over $35.00) and you refused, both in this thread and through PMs.

No need sending me more PMs kigs, blocking you now.
