My AC died tonight. My 90 gal reef tank is up to 82. I have a fan running over the top of the water and have turned off all my lights. What else can I do?

ice cubes on a tray over which fan is blowing as well (granted this works better with a sump but its worth a shot, drain and refill regularly)

I've used ice in a ziplock bag a few times and it works really well for my all-in-one nano. I usually just place it on top of both of the return lines. I think it cools more efficiently since the bag of ice isn't actually making contact with the water, thus staying cold longer- super sciency.

Maybe you could do the same or if you have a sump, wrap the bag of ice around the return pipe with some tape, zip tie or something.

Best Situation Get the ac fixed Quickly .. Best temp solution is run out and buy a room ac unit window or portable for that Room. Similar to as mentioned above. a 5 gallon bucket 50 feet of flexible tubing a small pump and Lots of ice for the bucket or cooler is best..

we have a window ac unit in the garage for just this thing. We had to use it last summer when our ac went out .. oops summer before last. took me two weeks to get the new hvac system installed
