So I emailed Logan at reef breeders. He emailed me back a spreadsheet full of information. Big shout out to Reef Breeders!! It has a list of settings to achieve different Kelvin ratings. And a list of their preferred settings for mixed reef and SPS tanks

He said start at a max of 30% and work my way up..... that's my issue i started at 60%

That will cause a bit of paleing! Glad it worked out man. Keep us posted, looking forward to seeing those colors once things get acclimated.

Imo 50-150 is ideal for acans and other low light lps. Wwc, reefwholesale, and many other reputable distributors/aquaculturists would agree with me. Sure they can be in higher, but they prefer lower light in that par range and that is where you will see the best combo of coloration and growth, imo.

I purchased an aqua illumination prime hd and started my lights at %10 and slowly ramped them up to now %100 over the course of a month. Leds are very powerful. Your corals will regain colors after a few weeks depending on the coral. And when adding new corals I always turn the lights down a bit and start the frags at the sand bed.

Dude, no haters here. I run a cheap Flaval Marine LED and back it up with a Marineland *pro* LED and my par’s at 100-125 on the bottom and 250-350 along the top of my aquascape. My acans are placed in the 100-150 range, but I hear they can take up to 200 once acclimated.
