hey guys. So I have an Acan frag in my 75g system that’s been in there for a couple of months now. A little while ago, I moved it to a place where it would get a little more light and flow as it was kind of shadowed where it was. It seemed fine for a couple of days but the past few it’s been kind of closed up, and not closed up like it was when it used to get stressed. I’m a newbie, and it’s a little confusing for me and I’m looking for help. My parameters haven’t changed, and my other green star polyp frag seems completely unaffected. Nitrates: 0 ammonia: 0 phosphates: 0. I’m attaching a picture of the frag. The colors aren’t that bad in real life it’s just my terrible aquarium photography. Anyway, what can cause this kind of coral to close up for a couple of days like this? It seemed to be appreciating the increased light and flow.

Might still be adjusting from the move. Gsp are usually unaffected by anything.
Have you tried feeding it

Likely closed up from the move. Your N03 is too low. Need to feed more and or skip a water change or two to get it up.

Most coral will do very well with 5-10 ppm of N03.

Most acans can do very well in most light after light acclimation and do well in moderate to low flow.

+1... Acans do well in light when acclimated. I
Moved mine form the sand bed to the mid of my aquarium, feed Roids and LPS amino. They puff and open up with feeders all the time. Agreed on No3... I’m at 10ppm for the most part and feed heavy, while running Bio pellets and Refugium.
