Acan color question

I got this frag 1 1/2 months ago seen some good growth but "babies have extra green on them? Mutation or wha?

Sorry for the phone pics. But only a few of the babies have this color?

My acans have all changed colors from when I got them. Acans seem to shift colors more than any other coral I know, depending on your lights.

Really? Thats cool i herd they go crazy under t5. I wanna supplement my leds ohwel. Do you have any clue what kind of acan it is?

Not sure 100% what acan it is, but it looks like a acan lord. Mine are under AI Hydra 52's and I've had one that was pink and white stripe on the outside and green in the center that shifted to all green. I feel like LEDs tend to make them shift to the green end. The best looking acans I've seen do seem to come from tanks grown with T5s.

Thats what i wanted to knoww^^ thanks. Mine is under a hydra 26, this is my first and only acan atm. Thats kinda odd whatbmaoes green special? Lol

The extra green on the "babies" is normal. Generally as they grow they will end up looking as the "adult" polyps look like now.

I struggled for the first year with acans, I thought I'd never be able to keep them. Typically everything I had read said keep them low. With the close to death of the last scan I bought at that time I moved it to the highest rock I had. It has since colored up beautifully and has some polyps that would put a silver dollar to shame (diameter wise)
