Hi I’m having some trouble with my acan I just got it couple days ago everything was ok until I went to move him and I touched the fleshy part and all the polyps retracted like in the picture I moved him to shady spot that get a small amount of flow but it out of the bright lights anyone have any idea maybe I did the wrong thing by moving him not sure any help would be much appreciate

Give it time to adjust if you just added it and touched it

It doesn't look too bad. Should expand if it is not damaged. Looks like it's in the shadows. Might need to move it to a more lighted area towards the bottom. I have several acans and I keep them in the light but at the bottom of my tank.

Corals are tougher than you would think. I'm not saying be brutal to them but if we can ship them all over the world brushing up against them now and again is harmless. They might shrink up but that's just their reaction. In the wild things eat them and they still thrive in reef settings.

I have acans that have polyps that were almost cut in half. They are almost completely healed after sometime.

Agree. Less shade but down low. My like enough flow so that the polyps gently move and love to be fed

Ok thanks, i moved him to a better spot, I’ll give him some time to come around

I have my acans to the side of the tank, and they are getting some pretty good flow.

The second acan picture is coming back from almost death.
