Is there any hope for this acan, I placed it to close to the light without thinking. It's on the bottom now for a few weeks but doesn't look like its getting any better. Any suggestion?

I would say there is hope. As long as there is tissue there is hope. I've recovered acans that were much further gone that yours. Move it into indirect light, under the edge of a cave or overhang, and indirect, very low flow. Offer it food after lights out.

The worst acan I ever recovered took months to come back. As long as you can see color, don't give up hope. Heck, I' ve had them come back from a bare skeleton, it just takes forever for that to happen.

Nothings done for till the tissues gone. I have had acans comeback from little dots of tissue. Just put him in low light and make sure hes out of the way and he just might come back.

I totaly agree don't give up yet.

Thx for the replies I appreciate the help. Going to move it under an overhanging rock and try nighttime feeding as was suggested

Be sure to turn off your pumps and powerheads when you offer him food. He will be too weak to hold onto it in a current. And be prepared to stand by and guard him, so that no crabs or shrimps get his food. He may not have feeders out, but try dribbling a little food on him and then watch him. I'm betting you will see him take the food in.
