Acan dying from the mouth out.

Has anyone seen this before? I lost one head last week on another Acan and though it was just sand or something had upset it. But now just lost one of these beauties on the other side of the tank. It doesn't' seem like Brown Jelly as it's white and just seems to affect one head. Could this be a pest or a bacterial issue?

Yes, I feed mostly Reef-Roids. And the blasto is on the left, I'm talking about the orange Acan. Thanks

Looks like a nasty necrotic infection personally ive only ever seen stuff like that on coral that ate 2 much and the food rotted inside them. Mabey it ate a big ol fish poo and it was 2 much 2 digest

Reef roids is a designed for broadcast feeding. You should be feeding something more meaty like krill or mysis.

these are the type of necrosis events that lead to brown jelly

that’s the mother polyp that’s affected,
the first polyp the colony formed from...

if there’s a bandsaw laying around the house,
i’d get to work with it to salvage the colony.

once bjd sets,
you’d be surprised by how rapidly it spreads to other lps!

I did an ICP test a few weeks ago and everything was on track. Yeah sorry, should have noted. I did just feed the fish and dropped some pellets(New Life Spectrum Probiotix) on my LPS
