Acan going brown

hi, recently bought this acan and for some reason it's going a dark brown colour around the edges.

Have checked all parameters and they're all fine.

acan is about 18 inches deep in water and light is about 10 inches above water. Currently have a maxspect Jump led light which is running about 60% intensity for about 7 hrs a a day.

Any ideas what this could be?

Hard to tell in the pic, but it looks like the Acan died in those areas and it's exposed skeleton.

How old is your tank? What are your parameters? What kind of PAR is the Acan getting? What's the flow like there?

Does the acan/micro always look like that or had it been disturbed just before the picture was taken? If it wasn't disturbed, then it's probably not doing too well. Acan polyps should be expanded all the time unless disturbed by a fish/shrimp/human etc.

In addition to T-J's questions, do you have other corals in the tank and, if so, are they doing okay?

Check your nitrates, whenever nitrates go up, my scan let's me know.
Also my acan puffs up big and tends to lose its color when completely extended
