I have noticed some differences in the polyps between some of my acans.

The cherry red Japan (lower left) really doesn't have defined heads. Maybe because so many babies on a small frag...

The toxic (lower right) seems to have much "fluffier) polyps, more similar to my blastos

The ultra and reds seem to have more of the polyp form I would expect from acans

Does it vary between color morphs or more or a random thing?

Just curious and still learning.

From what I've seen asian acans seem to keep a smaller head. Not sure if it changes as we never kept any but yours looks to be healthy.
Thanks as always. They have been doing great ever since I got them. The Asian was one of my first frags.

Unfortunately I just had to move my Acan rock since my new gold head sleeper decided his favorite place to sift sand was right over the acans. Fortunately the move didn't bother them one bit
