I've noticed that on some of my acans as they bud new heads, the color of the new head is different slightly...some have bright green or fluorescent centers when the parents do not...not sure if that's some sort of mutation, or just like a fish going from juvenile to full grown.
Clearly what you have going on here is very different, and very cool! Looks like some of the other heads have more yellow in them, when the bulk of them seem just orange w/stripes

Yep Iv noticed the odd bits of different colours aswell , the green has just thrown me tho

Here I was just expecting to see some heads that changed color (more or less red) due to lighting, but that is pretty neat. I too have head some colonies sprout new heads that are slightly different colors than the larger more mature heads, usually brighter or more vibrant colors. These generally assimilate and become the same as the larger heads as they grow. Very neat to see a head so completely different than the rest of the colony. Keep us posted on how it progresses.
