Acan or chalice ?

Bought it as a chalice but after staring for a while I believe chalices don't have that big of a mouth, could be wrong. What you guys think. Thanks Jose

Looks like an Acan to me. Maybe a Echinata? Looks cool whatever it is.

Crap I really wanted a chalice guess I'll have to go back and pick one up. Thanks everyone for your input. I'll start researching micromussa to see if that's what it is.

Easy fix, post it in your local reefing website and see if someone wants to trade for a chalice. Everyone always wants more acans, kind of like Pringles.

I don't even know what that could be. It does look like an acan, check the new growth. If it appears to be new heads forming(and not a skirt) it should be in the neighborhood of an acan. Otherwise that's a gorgeous piece you got there regardless to what it is. Looks very happy also

Thanks, yea Im keeping this one and going back for a chalice. We'll see what it turns out to look like soon. I was worried it didn't look happy but thanks for confirming it looks fine. This is from today feeding it some reef roids.

Oh he looks really healthy. Sorta curious to what this is though. I've seen tons of bowerbankis and the "larger polyp" acans but have NEVER seen this color before. Have to imagine how beautiful this guys going to look when he's grown into a colony!
