Acan Placement

Hey R2R,

I got a rainbow acan frag a couple weeks ago and have had him pretty low in my tank. I was wondering if I should move him up higher? He's in medium light and low flow right now.

The phot quality is bad, but also his colors just don't look as vibrant as they should too.

Acans like Low Light but especially Rainbows.

You do not want to buy an Expensive Rainbow Acan only to have it turn solid red from too much light!

You mentioned that it Lost Color.

I keep all my Rainbow Acans Under All Blue Light and They Have All Kept their Colors Wonderfully.

They are at the Far Side of the Tank Away from the Light.

They are all On the Very Bottom of the Tank too.

The Tank is Lit with a Single Kessil A150 Deep Ocean Blue Actinic LED Light.

I completely agree with @that Reef Guy low blue light and low flow.

Yup, I've had that happen. Had a beautiful rainbow turn this obnoxious red when it placed it up high on my acro frag rack which was receiving intense light. Lowered it down and finally looking rainbow again.
