Have had this single head acan for about a month. Always had it on a frag rack neck to some zoas. Has gotten bigger but noticed 2 days ago it looks like it ripped. Any ideas? Nothing near it that could sting or damage it, there no crabs in this tank only snails

Ya know, I also have one Acan frag, where the largest polyp also has a pinched area. It's been this way for a while now, but low and behold, i'm still receiving new babies, and it takes food well.

I recall investigating and wasn't able to come to a solid conclusion, but know that no matter where I put it, it just stayed this way. From what I see, the acan didn't come to me in this condition. Odd, but just wanted to reach out and give personal experience and send wishes that ours are still in good health!

Looks normal, possibly recovering from fragging. I have a piece that looks the same.

My acan frag likes to look “ripped” from time to time too! I don’t know if it’s just temporary or not but it definitely comes and goes from my experience  but it is eating and still looks happy!

Before food, During food, after food:
