Acan tissue loss or just deflated?

Acans are a difficult coral for me.

Is your first pic when you put it in and the 2nd pic now? Or vice versa. It looks fine in the second pic.

Assuming it looked good when you got it last Tuesday (last pic?), I would guess deflation although the tissue has pulled back significantly from the margin of the corallite. I've had same experience in past and usually they puff back up fairly soon given suitable water parameters and no animal bothering them. Good luck with a nice color combination.

Yep, definitely an animal bothering them. For some reason peppermints seem most interested in anything new in tank. Now, you just need to find some shrimp handcuffs! Hopefully, he'll move on soon.

They have killed my cerith snails, now my acans.. i have had 2 different highlight clove frags a d they both just dissapeared and the newest 1 didnt even get a chance to open. I thought it was my lighting or poor acclimation. But here we are... they have to go. Too much risk. I got them for a single aiptasia anemone on my zoa frag. So they did their job. But the $ lost is too much now along with the health of corals

Acans may come back - pretty hardy given appropriate parameters
