I placed a frag of two heads of acans on my rock work. A flat part. Do i need to glue it down or will it encrust the rock like coralline does?

Acans grow super slow and I've never had one of mine incrust. If the current is not moving the drag should be ok but if it is I would blue it down.

No it's not encrusting, growth occurs through the growth of new skeletal structures, ie corallites. New growth may cover a rock but it's not encrusting to the rock surface.

If you've got bigger snails or hermits it's a good idea to glue them. They'll push them around and even turn them over looking for food.
