Hey all,

I've been noticing my acans have been getting gray around the edges, I'll try to post a picture tomorrow because they're not out at the moment, as it is pretty late in the day.

I've been feeding them reef roids, and one even popped out three new heads a few weeks ago.

Anything I should do for them? I think it may be damage from hermits.

Thanks,
Will

Always check parameters to see what changed if any and even do a water change.
Moderate light and water flow and occasional feedings is all these guys ask for. Check salinity to assure it didnt climb as well as PH and tank temp whereas this time of the year, theyre constantly changing

Tank temp is 77, salinity is 1.025, seems to be consistent, I haven't been as consistent with water changes so I'll be sure to keep up with them in the future. Will they ever heal? Thanks.

When in doubt, do a water change, can't hurt...unless your RODI water is contaminated. Yes they will heal.

Here's an image guys

They should bounce back, but agree with the water changes. I'd also do some water testing to make sure the parameters and temperature aren't swinging too much.

FYI you can feed them more meaty foods than roids. I feed mine mysis soaked in selcon. The selcon is just to get them to be interested when they are not healthy, but I am lazy and keep using the selcon.

FWIW.

Just wanted to bump this thread for a second and show everyone this...

There's like gray stuff coming out of my acan... they only come out sometimes, if you look at the bottom left head. Anyone know what this is?
