I would not chance it, to be completely honest. Acans can be really aggressive, but so can some euphyllia.
It really depends on what you mean by "close proximity" as they can probably live at different depths in the water near each other. I wouldn't put them within growing distance of each other. You might even find you'll have to move it over time.
