Hello all hope all is well and safe for everyone. So my acans have started to look very sad over the last week. I have the 2 of them in a 20 long tank with multiple other corals. The acans are the only ones looking sad and everything else is happy and growing. They closed up about a week and a half ago and it started with only one of them first and the the other followed a day and a half later. I have witnessed them at night and their feeder tentacles do come out. All of the research I have done leads to "sometimes scans do this and give it a week and they should open back up" but it's odd that they both are doing this at the same time. Any input is welcome and God bless!!

One thing else, In the last few weeks I put
a chinese black box over the tank to get better coverage than I had with my previous light. These acans were middle tank on a rock and I just moved them to the bottom of the tank 24 hours ago to see what this will do. Another thing I kept running into during my research was to dip them with coralrx, not sure if this is a good idea as I am trying to avoid stressing them more.

The new light was at least 2 weeks before they shrunk. And yes I do feed them, I dose fuel along with reef roids twice a week.

Are those vermeil snails? My Acans do not like those at all and I hv lost a few due them being in close proximity.

Some CBB can push big PARs. Low price does not always mean lower PAR’s
Mine (Visparspectra) pushed 740 at best, 8” above surface. I moved up to 14” and down to 50% intensity which brought PAR down to 400 at best, about 100 on the bottom.
Acan don’t need much light.
I turned mine down and feed twice a week

Those are vermetid, and they drive me crazy, I was planning on removing them when I do work on the tank tomorrow. The light is 11 inches off the water with all the lenses removed, blues on 75 percent and white probably around 15-20 percent.

What about shrimp? I have a cleaner shrimp and he has been getting a little A**holeish lately.
