My acans coral is melting.
Water parameters
Cal. 460
Mag 1230
No2 .3 or less
PH 7.7
N3+N4 0
What is causing this?

My Acans are melting down, what could cause that. Here are my water parameters;
Cal. 460
Mag. 1230
No2 .3 or less
Ph 7.7
KH 6dh
N3+N4 0
What do you think is causing this?

That's bacteria, get it out and dip dip dip. Can you frag out the healthy polyps?
 
That is brown jelly shoot of power head take out the Coral frag the dead part and quarantine the live piece
 
Not sure I can explain why that is happening. Sometimes colonies like that don't like any type of change. Water parameters, light, fish nipping at it.

If you don't mind fragging it into frags of 2-3 heads each, it will most likely come around and start growing again. More times than not that will help save your coral. After you frag it dip it in Revive to clean any infection or pest off it.

Hope it comes around for. It's a beautiful acan. The strips and color pattern is very nice.
