My acans are not doing well. I woke up one morning to find my diamond goby spread sand all over there mouths. I cleaned them off, and raised them up in to prevent this but it’s been days and they haven’t inflated at all. Alk is around 10, calcium 480-500 po4 .02 nitrates 0

Anything I can do to reverse this?

I think the change in height might have done more damage than the sand. Is there a place in the sand where you can put it where it may not get sand or where it may be slightly elevated? I have a ton of acans and I placed them close to the sand bed but on a rock that is fairly flat. They do better near the sandbed. The change in light intensity may be the reason it has not bounced back and it definitely looks stressed. They do bounce back though. It's a waiting game but you may want to lower it a little.

It’s on the sand bed now, just on a rock. If you thing it’s too much like I can put it somewhere with much less light and out of the way

Okay, that should be fine. It's hard to tell from the picture. I would just make sure it is not getting hit with too much light and give it some time. Try to target feed it and hopefully it bounces back.

Do you feed them? I used to have issues with acans and I found feeding them works wonders. I usually just squirt a little Rod's or LRS over them when I am feeding the fish and they get some food that way.

I have tried but this colony has never had feeders out to catch anything. I will try again tonight when the lights go out.

Make sure its in low flow too. Just keep things stable for now and give it time. Once it's happy again and inflated it should put out feeders at night then eventually during the day when feeding the tank.
