Ive already lost one of my acans and now the reds and colored ones arnt opening. All greens are fine . Wats going on

What's your magnesium, also have you recently added anything to tank, like medications or the like? Has the flow changed to the area.

I have altered the lights a little while ago less color for a more more blue to grow. With a high intensity. I have 3 360w kessils . Oh i did also just add a file fish because i wanted to try get rid of aptesia i came across

Is it on a rock where it can be moved, possibly to a lower light partially shaded area.

You have Ammonia and your Alkalinity is Insanely High.

You need to correct those issues first.

Dip in Bayer in Case there are any Pests.

In the Past I would Loose all my Acans after 6 Month to a Year.

Since I started Feeding them about a Year and a Half Ago I have not Lost a Single Acan.

Feeding them is Huge.

I have lots of Helpful Tips in that Thread.

Even though I Posted it in the Zoanthid Forum all of those Tips will Apply to Acans too.

I would watch it closely. Since its only happening to this one acan, its highly probable that it being botheres by a fish pecking on it.

I have seen 2 aptasia eating filefish nip at acans. i have heard countless other stories, very few of them about the fish doing a good job eating aptasia however.
